We know it can feel daunting have works carried out on your home and you’ll likely have many questions about the cost and the process. You’ll probably want to know how long the work will take, what will happen while work is in progress and whether you need to make any preparations. To ease your mind, we’ve put together a general overview of the process you’ll go through when you choose AHM Installations.
This is intended to be a guide, so that you have a better understanding of how we work. When you book your installation with us, we’ll give you all the information you need to know about your bespoke service. However, this is a great place to start if you want to familiarise yourself with our process.
The first step is to get in contact. Pick up the phone, send us an email or visit us in person to arrange your free home survey. You can select a date and time that suits you, and there’s never any pressure.
Your free home survey is a key part of your journey. A member of our team will come to your home with a selection of samples. They’ll assess the space and make recommendations for the location of your new bathroom and which fittings you might need. This is a no-pressure appointment which allows you to get to know us and get a better idea of what you want. We won’t hound you for a follow-up or carry out any hard sells. This is simply an opportunity for you to get information about what we have available.
When we both have a good understanding of what you want and some plans are drawn up, you’ll receive a no obligation quote. This quote will include everything required to complete your installation, and there won’t be any hidden surprises. The only thing that could affect the end-cost of your new bathroom would be if something unexpected occurred during installation. This is very rare, but if it were to happen we would keep you informed every step of the way.
Once you’ve accepted your quote, we will take a deposit and schedule your installation at a time and date that suits you. On some occasions we will need to return to your property to carry out a second survey. This is usually the case for larger installations, but we’ll let you know if this is the case.
In some cases, we may need to deliver your new bathroom fixtures to your home prior to installation. We’ll let you know if this is going to happen, and we’ll ensure that there’s no lifting or moving required by you. A member of our team will be in contact to explain when the items are expected to arrive.
On your designated installation day, one or two members of AHM’s installation team will arrive at your property and show you their identification badge. They’ll explain everything that’s going to happen during the time that they’re there. A typical installation can take anywhere from three to five days, but they’ll give you a rough idea of how long they expect it to take. They will ensure you are happy with the proposed placement and height of all the fixtures before they’re installed.
When all the work has been finished, you’ll be able to view your new bathroom. The installer will show you how everything works and make sure you’re completely happy with it. Once it’s been signed off, we’ll clear everything up and leave your home as tidy as we found it. Any waste will be stored in an appropriate container and taken away within a week.
All of our installations come with our own 12-Month Installation Warranty, as well as the warranties and manufacturer’s guarantees included with any products. We’ll let you know how all of this works and provide you with the paperwork to register your guarantee(s). We also offer extended warranties, please ask our team for more details.
