Dementia devastates lives. Alzheimer’s Society research shows that 900,000 people in the UK have a form of dementia. By 2025, 1 million people will be living with the condition in the UK, and many millions more carers, partners, families and friends will be affected.
Our Directors have been personally affected by dementia and we also know many of our customers are also affected by the disease. We recognise the importance in raising awareness of this disease and since 2019 we have supported the charity by offering ‘dementia friend’ awareness sessions for our colleague and since 2019 we have raised £1,900 in donations. Alzheimer’s Society offers friendly support through a range of virtual and in-person services, including a Dementia Connect support line (0333 150 3456), their online forum Talking Point, and Dementia Advisers.
