My wife Julie and I set up AHM Installations following her experiences in nursing and caring, and my previous experience in the mobility industry with the aim of creating a business that was honest, compassionate, and which people could trust.
When we formed AHM in 1999, accessible bathrooms were a new expertise within the bathroom industry, and it was easier for things to go wrong – unethical practices were more common and consumers had less information and protection.
This didn’t sit well with us – we wanted to protect those who needed a bathing solution, so using our knowledge and experience we started to design and create mobility bathrooms that were safe, functional and stylish.
Fast forward 22 years – we’ve become a trusted name within the sector and we install accessible bathrooms across the UK. We pride ourselves on the fact that we genuinely care; we listen to the needs of every customer, advise on the best solution and guide them through the process. No matter the budget or the situation, we can always find a solution.
We’re extremely proud of AHM Installations and the wonderful team of colleagues who share our caring ethos and look after our customers every step of the way.
We’re still a family-run business – our son Charles, an ex-military officer, joined us in 2014 and is now a Director. He is gradually taking up the reins as we look to spend more quality time with our six grandchildren (they keep us busy!). However, AHM is still our passion and we continue to drive the very best standards in service and care and we never take our finger off the pulse when it comes to innovation.
